About merging PDFs
This free browser-based tool joins reports, invoices, scans, or chapter files into one PDF for sharing and archiving. You choose the file order, pages inside each file stay in place, and the final page count equals the sum of all inputs.
All merging happens on your device. That protects privacy and removes the wait for uploading and downloading source files.
Common uses
- Assemble credentials, pricing, and proposals into one bid document.
- Combine invoices and receipts for expenses and archiving.
- Rebuild separately exported chapters into one book.
- Join scanned contract pages before sending them.
If the result is large, use PDF compression. To reorder or remove pages, use the page organizer. See the complete PDF merge and split guide for the full workflow.
Frequently asked questions
QWill my PDFs be uploaded to a server?
No. Merging happens entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and we cannot access them.
QHow many PDFs can I merge at once?
You need at least 2 files and can add up to 20 PDFs per merge.
QWhat determines the merged page order?
Files are appended in their current list order, while pages inside each file keep their original order. The final page count is the sum of all inputs.
QCan I change the merge order?
Yes. Move files up or down in the list or remove any file before merging.
QCan I merge encrypted or password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Protected pages cannot be read. Unlock the file first; other files already in the list remain available.
QIs there a file-size limit?
Each PDF can be up to 50 MB. Oversized files are rejected without affecting other files in the list.
QDo I need to sign up or pay?
No. The tool is free, requires no account, and adds no watermark.
